About The Position

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. Job Summary: The Field Installer I is responsible for installing conduit, cabling, and devices for building automation systems while supporting project teams to ensure work meets safety standards and client specifications. This role works closely with lead installers to execute installations, interpret drawings, and assist with troubleshooting and commissioning on active job sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma.
  • 1+ years experience with Building Automation Systems or any years of Commercial Electrical installations experience.
  • An understanding of basic computer operation.
  • An understanding of the construction industry including safety, electrical codes, etc.
  • Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Have a valid driving license.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience with Building Automation Systems or 2+ years of Commercial Electrical installations experience.
  • A clear ability to work with electrical equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, etc.
  • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical, control, and special system diagrams.
  • A working understanding of low and high voltage AC circuitry including transformers, fuses, breakers, multi-phase power, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Install conduit, cabling, and devices that make up the Building Automation System
  • Work closely with Lead Installers and other team members to ensure that installations meet safety standards and client specifications
  • Pay attention to detail and adhere to timelines
  • Deliver high-quality construction services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Understand construction practices and follow safety protocols diligently
  • Use tools and equipment effectively, requiring both technical skills and a commitment to safety. Attention to detail is critical, as installers must ensure that all materials are installed correctly and meet quality standards
  • Interpret Climatec’s and other’s drawings to productively install controls and/or special building system installations.
  • Support installation personnel on project sites.
  • Assist as required troubleshooting efforts during either the static or dynamic start up or commissioning of building controls and special systems.
  • Assist in preparing of As-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide up-to-date As-built information as required including locations for sensors, panels, database, code, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
