About the position

We're looking for a proactive, resourceful Field Marketing Specialist to serve as a local brand champion for Orangetheory Fitness. You'll be responsible for developing and executing studio-specific hyperlocal marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and member acquisition and retention. This role will focus on building and nurturing B-to-B partnerships, managing events, and supporting local marketing efforts across 50+ Orangetheory Fitness studios in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas and Pennsylvania markets. The ideal candidate knows the Austin area well as a majority of studios are in the Austin metropolitan area, has a passion for community building, has a deep understanding of local marketing tactics, and is excited to make a direct impact on studio performance through local partnerships and events. Responsibilities

  • Implement and track community tactics to generate leads, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with local businesses and organizations to boost brand visibility and membership growth
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring long term, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional partners to plan, coordinate, and execute local events, enhancing brand awareness and member engagement (ex: half marathons, little league sponsorships, back to school collegiate fairs, wellness conventions, etc)
  • Support studio teams in hosting events, fitness challenges, and member appreciation activities, handling logistics to ensure smooth execution
  • Train and empower studio teams on best practices for local outreach, ensuring they are equipped with templates, guidance, and calendar alignment
  • Assist in amplifying local promotions and member success stories through targeted outreach and marketing campaigns
  • Maintain strong communication with studio managers, coaches and the central marketing team to tailor support and align strategies
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in local marketing and community engagement to continuously innovate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-5 years of experience in field marketing, partnerships, event planning or local/community marketing. Preferably within the fitness, health, or lifestyle industries
  • Deep familiarity with the Austin market - its neighborhoods, culture and networking ecosystem
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools to support event promotion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in pitching ideas and coordinating across stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented-someone who takes initiative and thrives in both team and solo settings
  • Experience supporting or managing multi-location marketing efforts is a plus
  • Must have flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and activations
  • Passion for fitness, health, and wellness
