Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition. National General is seeking a Field Property Adjuster to join our Austin, TX Claims team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a wide range of residential property claims and be proficient in both Xactimate and XactAnalysis. Responsibilities

• Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims.
• Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.
• Responsible for creating or auditing a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
