Cytek’s integrated suite of instruments, software, reagents, and services supports scientific discovery across immunology, oncology, cell therapy, and broader life sciences research. As a Field Service Engineer I at Cytek Biosciences, you will be an integral part of our worldwide service organization, delivering exceptional installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of our advanced flow cytometry and diagnostic instrumentation at customer sites. Prefer candidates who are based in Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent technical military service preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with experience in flow cytometry considered a strong plus (not required).
  • Prior experience in flow cytometer repair or technical support is desirable but not required.
  • Basic understanding of biological principles, especially as they relate to flow cytometry.
  • Full‑time availability, generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel via commercial airlines, train, or rental vehicle to customer sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs safely and work standing for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time).

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Cytek flow cytometers and upgrade products in a timely and proficient manner.
  • Represent Cytek professionally and courteously with customers, supporting our reputation for service excellence.
  • Understand customer needs and provide feedback to help improve Cytek products and services.
  • Manage your daily schedule to prioritize urgent customer needs and set appropriate expectations for non‑urgent issues.
  • Provide comprehensive customer support through technical phone assistance, service visit coordination, information gathering, fault isolation, corrective action, and resolution of site visits with high quality and efficiency.
  • Complete all required business documentation—Field Service Reports, Instrument Qualification Reports, Parts Return Tags, and Travel Expense reports—with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and regularly audit your personal service parts inventory to ensure parts accuracy and readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
