About The Position

Performing a variety of complex technical functions in support of the Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) systems and Fleet Electronic Support (FES) activity such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic systems Establishing procedures for the maintenance of systems, laboratory equipment and facilities Performing on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of STEI products and equipment Providing technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment Assisting in training to include junior level electronics technicians, FES CTMs, and support staff to perform general fabrication, assembly, configuration, test and evaluation, and documentation of tasks Establishing procedures for the maintenance of FES laboratory facilities and equipment including cable diagrams, equipment schematics, and configurations to support various STEI system arrangements Training personnel to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment Providing written and/or oral status updates of current installations Providing technical distance and on-site support

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge of the radio frequency spectrum tools and equipment to include working with calibration and testing equipment and antenna troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux (Redhat or CentOS) operating systems
  • Quality communication and writing skills
  • General working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration, and maintenance of Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) systems
  • Experience with cable fabrication to include network, RF, and power cables
  • Be DoD 8140-compliant with the equivalent of an IAT II certification (Security+ or higher)

Responsibilities
