About The Position

Block Imaging is looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Philadelphia area. As a Field Service Engineer at Block Imaging, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing high-quality imaging equipment that impacts patient care every day. In this role, you’ll primarily work onsite at hospital and healthcare facilities, providing top-tier maintenance and service for advanced imaging equipment that directly impacts patient care. While the majority of your time will be spent on-site, there will be opportunities for remote work within the region, allowing for a balanced and flexible work schedule. You’ll work hands-on with advanced medical technology, traveling to various healthcare facilities and collaborating with a team of experts to ensure that equipment is operating at its best. Job Description Summary: Responsible for providing high-quality technical support and service to our medical imaging customers. This includes the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of medical imaging equipment, ensuring it meets the highest operational standards. You will work independently in the field to diagnose and resolve technical issues, while adhering to safety regulations and OEM specifications.

• Drivers must comply with on-the-job driver’s safety training if asked to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles
• Must be 21 or older to drive company vehicle

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• 3-7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent
• Physical activity that requires often bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, kneeling and/or twisting.
• Physical activity that sometimes involves pushing and/or pulling over 25 lbs. but not more than 75 lbs.
• Physical activity that sometimes involves lifting over 25 lbs. but not more than 75 lbs.
• Physical activity that requires keyboarding, sitting, phone work and filing.

Responsibilities

• Service medical imaging equipment focused within the Philadelphia Metro area
• Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging systems and computer components to ensure performance aligns with OEM specifications
• Ensure the system operates effectively to meet customer needs and expectations.
• Move the company forward in engineering competency.
• Represent the company professionally in all on-site interactions and communicate customer feedback effectively to internal teams.
• Evaluate, install, and perform preventive maintenance on imaging equipment, while providing advanced-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues.
• Continual expansion of knowledge base in the repair and installation of equipment.
• Provide regular project updates, feedback, and insights to management, including the Zone Service Director, to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement
• Remain available to address technical issues and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Document newly developed processes and provide training to end users.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
