About The Position
This position focuses on installing, maintaining, and optimizing SMT automation equipment while resolving complex technical challenges to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) preferred.
- Experience with SMT or automation equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
- Able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Familiar with Windows-based systems and basic networking.
- Strong problem-solving and customer focus.
- Works well independently and in teams.
- Effective communicator.
- Willing to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and start up SMT automation systems across North America.
- Perform system upgrades and custom modifications.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, software, and process issues.
- Provide onsite and remote support to minimize downtime.
- Work with engineering teams on complex problems.
- Train operators and maintenance staff.
- Advise on process optimization and preventive maintenance.
- Collect and analyze data for troubleshooting and improvements.
- Prepare clear service reports for customers and management.
- Serve as technical link between customers and engineering.
- Explain technical info clearly to all stakeholders.
