Position Summary: Supervise/manage day-to-day tasks and operations of diverse team of Damage Prevention Vehicle Inspector (DPVI) Drivers driving to various excavation sites to ensure compliance with New York State Code Rule 753 regarding the protection of underground facilities. Essential Functions: Field Supervisor Effectively manage all day-to-day DPV program operations Manage team member's time off (PTO/Sick), review/approve time cards Responsible for DPVI team performance evaluations Oversight of GPS vehicle tracking (specifically with respect to after hours and weekends) Assist OTM Fleet Manager as needed Participate in interview process and selection of new DPVI Driver candidates First point of contact for issue resolution of team members as it relates to DPVI programs Perform routine face-to-face and phone meetings with team members Communication throughout the day with Dispatcher(s), Area Division Supervisors and Contractors as needed Conduct weekly DPVI team meetings Attend/call-in to OTM Leadership Team meetings Key liaison/interface with OTM Operations Manager and clients Random field audits of team members work and training/re-training, as required Program equipment management: work with OTM office operations / IT for any equipment needs or issues Daily/weekly written & verbal communications/coordination of program goals, objectives, issues, etc with DPVI team Daily/weekly reporting of program status, as well as, any other issues that may arise to the DPVI Operations Manager or the assigned fill-in person Perform random safety inspections (ie. PPE, vehicles, etc) of team members Encourage, support and engage team in achieving program goal(s), OTM company and DPVI goals and objectives Role may involve backfilling as DPVI Driver for employees out on personal/vacation time
