About The Position

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Filament Winder CNC Machines Record and turn in daily production and quality data – Process Control Plan Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for a 10 – 12-hour shift Use of quality measuring tools to verify product conformity (i.e. Tension fishhook, digital calipers, spring calipers) Reads and interprets winding process control plan to setup and operate machines Perform off-sets as required and machine homing Reports all maintenance problems to supervisor for prompt attention Report any safety issues and injuries to supervisor Maintain a positive attitude, and work with others as required in a team-based work environment. Must prevent exotherm through awareness of work material’s; physical and chemical properties (roving, resins, hardeners, wax, etc.). Follows daily production schedule to meet internal and external customer requirements Ensure complete electronic and physical control of all material movement in and out of workstation. Responsible for timely transaction and issuing of material for production Execute shop order integrity (labor and material) for all shop orders entering workstation. Report non-conforming material to area supervisor. Attend departmental start up and end of shift meetings. Responsible for ensuring that all required production paperwork is properly filled out and submitted on a daily basis (daily checklist, red tags, adjustment forms, shop order review, receiving listings). Maintain a clean and safe work area by ensuring immediate stocking or issuing of incoming material. Machine preventative maintenance to keep machine in proper operational order Assist with identifying and resolving paperwork issues preventing delivery of orders. Works closely with supervisor to support daily production objectives. Perform production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers. (Change over resin systems) Maintain machine operations by cleaning, minor repairs, and troubleshooting. Other Job Responsibilities: Maintain a good attendance record and on time to shift duty. Excellent communication skills All other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.
