About The Position

We are looking for a curious, analytical, and strategic Film Analyst to join Regal's Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will bridge the worlds of cinema and data—partnering with Film Leadership , Data Science, and cross-functional stakeholders to uncover what's driving film performance, audience behavior, and business outcomes across our theater network. This role goes beyond tracking box office numbers and building dashboards. You will act as a film industry detective, investigating ambiguous questions, exploring multi-source data (box office, concessions, loyalty, third-party), and forming hypotheses to understand what's happening, why it matters, and what Film Leadership should do next. You will also be a storyteller, translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives that influence film booking strategy, marketing decisions, and customer experience improvements. Your work will directly shape how Regal selects, schedules, and optimizes films across our circuit—turning data into strategic advantage in a fast-moving entertainment landscape.

Requirements

  • Bring 2–5 years of experience in film/entertainment analytics or a related analytical role with strong industry curiosity.
  • Have strong SQL skills and experience with analytical tools such as Python/R and visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Think analytically and strategically—able to form hypotheses, interpret incomplete data, and connect insights to business decisions.
  • Communicate clearly and compellingly, crafting data‑driven stories for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Be proactive, detail‑oriented, collaborative, and excited about using AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and insight generation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze film performance, audience demographics, and behavioral trends to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and databases that integrate box office, concessions, loyalty, and third‑party data sources.
  • Translate data into strategic recommendations that guide film booking, scheduling, marketing, and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with Film Leadership, Data Science, Marketing, Operations, and BI teams to frame questions and communicate insights.
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to contextualize Regal’s performance within the broader theatrical and streaming ecosystem.

Benefits

  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location
  • Paid vacation time and sick leave to support a healthy work-life balance
  • Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) retirement plan with company match after age 21 and one month of service
  • Summer half-day Fridays during the summer season
  • Medical and prescription coverage, with company contributions toward the cost
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability insurance at no cost to employees
  • Dental, vision, and supplemental life insurance options available for employees and their dependents
  • Additional coverage options including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance
