About The Position

Assist in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or greater, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must posses a current valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical card.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and inspect filtration systems for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Inspect the entire facility for air leaks, focusing on doors, walls, and other entry points.
  • Conduct a filtration audit to ensure all filters are properly installed and no unfiltered air is entering the facility.
  • This position offers a high level of independence, allowing you to work at your own pace with a limited need for team collaboration. Frequent travel is a key component of the role.
