Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word
  • ERP/ MRP experience
  • 1-2 years Inspection experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as required by the applicable specifications
  • Perform semi-complex inspection of components using a wide variety of measuring instruments such as micrometer, ID/OD mics, thread gauges, protractor, height gauge, optical comparator and profilometer to determine acceptance or rejection of parts and/or parts surface roughness/finish
  • Perform first article inspections to customer drawings and specifications
  • Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimension and tolerances
  • Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer’s requirements and military standards
  • Perform inspections to applicable specifications within the assembly department
  • Assist customer/government source inspectors as necessary
  • Perform complete inspections in accordance with the applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures
  • Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection of parts
  • Assist with the investigation of customer returns
  • Able to pass a visual acuity test
  • A general understanding of customer specifications or ability to lean
  • AS9102 experience beneficial
  • Able to read blueprints
