About The Position

We are seeking talented mid-level integration technicians on back half (Wed-Sat) 2nd shift to execute development and production integration and test activities of the Leo satellite in final integration. A day in the life The Integration Technician II will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Leo satellite, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
  • 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
  • Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
  • Must be able to work Wed-Sat from 4PM-2:30AM
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
  • Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Some basic knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and/or satellite components
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

Responsibilities

  • Integration and test of the Leo satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
  • Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
  • Run functional and environmental testing on units, including some basic troubleshooting operations
  • Use computer software programs for running tests
  • Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
