About The Position

Sun Hydraulics, LLC in Sarasota, FL has a paid Finance/Accounting internship opportunity available for summer 2022. We generally try to fill the summer openings by spring break. There is one-on-one time with leadership at Sun. The internship offers the opportunity to see not only how the different finance/accounting classes are applied in a manufacturing and engineering business but also an opportunity to learn how the business operates. The three-month, summer internship is the beginning step toward future employment at Sun Hydraulics after graduating from your designated program.

Requirements

• MUST BE A JUNIOR, SENIOR, POST GRAD LEVEL, OR RECENTLY GRADUATED STUDENT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION
• Hands on, self-motivated students from Accounting and Finance programs are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is useful, but not necessary.
• Our preference is for students who have an interest in a finance/accounting career working in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Exposure in each functional area of the finance team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Consolidations
• Potentially perform tasks in collaboration with foreign subsidiaries
• Assist in project(s) that may include FP&A, management reporting, data mining, or process improvements
• Well-rounded exposure taking place in a global, multi-entity finance team
