About The Position

The Finance Billing Specialist is responsible for billing and posting charges and payments to the Accounts Receivable System. Requirements

2+ years experience in a finance, accounts receivable preferred.
Associate’s degree preferred, High School diploma required.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to perform accounting and financial tasks with accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office particularly Excel, and able to learn new software rapidly.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

2+ years experience in a finance, accounts receivable preferred.

Responsibilities

Bills Medicaid, Medicare, and participants private charges monthly and post charges to the Accounts Receivable System.
Posts payments received to the Accounts Receivable system and follows up on unpaid invoices.
Records retroactive rate changes and refunds to the general ledger.
Reconciles bank accounts and subsidiary accounts receivable ledgers to the general ledger monthly.
Collection efforts on open accounts (ie: Medicaid, Insurance, Private)
