We’re seeking a Finance Business Partner Senior Manager to lead financial planning and strategic support for key parts of Smarsh’s Corporate Finance team. This role goes beyond analysis—you’ll shape decisions, influence leaders, and help scale the finance function as the company grows. As a manager, you will be responsible for executive financial partnership, set planning standards, and manage / mentor analysts. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, bringing strong judgment, clear insights, and enable process improvement across the corporate finance function.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, or related roles, with at least some experience in SaaS
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes through insight—not just reporting
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, revenue drivers, and unit economics
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including executive-level presentations
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Familiarity with accounting and FP&A systems tools (examples: Adaptive, NetSuite)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance partner to Smarsh senior leaders across assigned functions (e.g., HR, IT, Finance, and office of CEO)
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your business areas
  • Develop and review complex financial models to support headcount planning, investments, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide proactive insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to influence business decisions
  • Track performance vs. plan, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions with stakeholders
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews for your functions
  • Partner with Smarsh accounting to ensure accurate close, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Improve finance processes, reporting, and tools to support scale and efficiency
  • Coach and mentor junior team members; directly manage analysts as the team grows
  • Own the reporting relationship and outcomes with a private equity sponsor
