About The Position

The Finance Intern performs a variety of accounting activities and detailed desk procedures associated with the processes performed to ensure departmental continuity and manage risk. Assist with other finance miscellaneous projects including shredding old documents Scanning, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, time management, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Technical aptitude and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Valid CT Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Complete an accounting process performed by staff and completes detailed desk procedures that include step-by-step process, screen shots, etc., to minimize risk if staff leave the organization and ensure continuity in the department and organization.

  • Performs other related finance duties as assigned.
