About The Position

This position is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards. This entails consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized and Valued.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions, and maintaining an accurate payable function.
  • Record journal entries to accurately reflect appropriate accrual basis revenue transactions, including comps, for all profit centers and other income items as required. Reconcile to secondary systems and ancillary reports for reasonableness.
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.
  • Monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for managing fixed assets as documented by company policies and procedures.
  • Record fixed assets acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system(s)
  • Reconcile the balances(s) in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger(s), to the corresponding general ledger account(s).
  • Review and update all detailed scheduled of fixed assets, and accumulated depreciation.
  • Audits contracts, orders and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
  • Prepares account reconciliation to agree sub ledger detail with general ledger balance.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.
  • Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
  • Maintain balance sheet reports run from report writer on Infinium system. This role could be focused on any one of the following areas: Tribal Government, Casinos, Red Falcon or Enterprises
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
