Financial Analyst I
About The Position
Our client City of Houston is in need of a Financial Analyst I. This is a temporary position; it all depends on the City’s budget whether they can extend the position further or offer you a permanent position if one becomes available. Job Duties: Assists department accounting staff in meeting their financial and accounting functional goals. Maintains financial programs in accordance with established procedures. Analyzes financial statements and reports. Assists in the design and development of financial policies and procedures. Assists department representatives in the review and evaluation of selected financial reports. Compiles financial data and prepares work papers, schedules, graphs and charts as required. Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and comply with AP 2-2 policy.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field.
- One year of professional experience in finance, budget analysis, economics or a closely related field is required.
- Four years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
- An Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field and two years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
