About The Position

The Financial Analyst I provides FP&A support for two divisions within the organization, Transportation and Material Handling Solutions. This role contributes to budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, monthly results analysis, and preparation of business review materials for leaders to optimize financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • 0-2 years of corporate FP&A, Accounting, or relevant analytical experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically intermediate experience using Excel (reporting, modeling, pivot tables, nested logic, etc.) & PowerPoint required.
  • Strong working knowledge of FP&A function and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
  • Core understanding of Corporate FP&A function/role in organization and business fundamentals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver clear, accurate and well-structured communication to various stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner across multiple departments.
  • O rganized and able to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive (or other relevant ERP / Planning / BI tools) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed variance analysis of actual results versus budget/forecasts, including identification of key drivers.
  • Works cross-functionally with business unit leadership, corporate Finance & Accounting, & other departments
  • Supports development of budgets and forecasts through data validation, template updates and documentation of assumptions
  • Prepares and maintains KPI and operational reporting.
  • Assists in creating Monthly and Quarterly Business Review materials (tables, charts, commentary).
  • Supports strategic decision making through detailed analysis and effective communication
  • Coordinates with the broader FP&A team to ensure alignment of assumptions, reporting, and financial processes.
  • Maintain accuracy and data integrity within reports, workbooks and planning tools.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed by the organization.
