This position will involve comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and decision support activities, enabling the organization to make informed financial decisions. May support corporate, divisions, and specific duties will vary according to where the analyst is assigned. The Financial Analyst III, Team Lead provides guidance and direction and oversees the work of staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree and 5 years finance or related experience, or In lieu of education, 9 years finance or related experience
  • Advanced role with a focus on complex data analysis and a strong understanding of HNTB processes
  • Expert Excel & analytical skills
  • Strong finance and business acumen including big picture understanding of the drivers and interrelationships of profitability and cash flow.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated and intellectually curious
  • Ability to analyze trends, interpret data, and confidently communicate insightful findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of HNTB software applications and enterprise reporting platforms
  • Takes ownership of assignments and demonstrates commitment to deadlines.
  • May provide training and onboarding for other financial analysts and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced-level financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and modeling to support management decision-making.
  • Provides support for corporate and/or division level on large, complex projects.
  • Synthesizes large amounts of data into meaningful summarized reports to enhance leadership’s ability to understand the information and make decisions.
  • Assists in designing and developing complex business applications built with Excel and/or HNTB Enterprise Reporting Solutions.
  • Leads monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and planning activities.
  • Generates, creates, and evaluates complex standard and ad hoc financial and business-related analyses under minimal guidance.
  • Develops graphs, charts, and presentations to clearly show data trends and projections.
  • Interprets data and communicates results.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect Sales, Revenue, Earnings, and Cash.
  • Provides interpretation and makes recommendations.
  • Analyzes data proactively to discover opportunities for prospective metric improvement.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced financial analysts.
  • Provides input on staff recruitment, development, and retention, including performance, compensation reviews, and succession planning.
  • Coordinates schedules and approves timecards.
  • Assists in setting employee objectives, provides client feedback, and coaches/mentors their team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
