About The Position

What is the opportunity? The Financial Analyst will support Strategic Compensation by performing accurate financial analysis, compensation measurement, and reporting. The individual will ensure timely execution of recruitment compensation activities while maintaining data integrity across quarterly reporting processes that align with RBC's productivity drivers. This involves guiding advisors and field leadership as a point of contact related to those functions. What will you do? Execute anniversary recruitment award processes in a timely and accurate manner; validate data and reconcile discrepancies Create, maintain, and quality-assure recruit compensation comparisons; ensure competitive positioning analysis is current and reliable Coordinate and oversee completion of all Strategic Compensation quarterly reporting initiatives Gather, validate, and synthesize compensation data from multiple sources Prepare financial summaries, variance analyses, and insights for executive review Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting deliverables while maintaining documentation and audit trails Maintain compensation databases and analytical tools; ensure data quality and security Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and timeliness What do you need to succeed? Must-have Four year college degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field 2+ years of financial services or investment industry experience Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and influence many levels within an organization Dedicated team player, willing to assist where necessary to make the team successful Nice-to-have Experience in a role that works directly with financial advisors Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Series 7, or willingness to obtain What’s in it for you? This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan. Requirements

  • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • 2+ years of financial services or investment industry experience
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and influence many levels within an organization
  • Dedicated team player, willing to assist where necessary to make the team successful
