As a member of the OptumRx CPS Outpatient Finance team, this position will report to the Finance Manager and play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner to CPS business Executives. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9am - 5pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of relevant, high-impact financial experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Data and analytics as a core competency
  • Ability to travel up to 10%25 of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manages and conducts financial analysis, performs budgeting and month end review, and assesses risk. Evaluates need, recommends corrective actions, and implements controls to meet financial goals.
  • Participate in the review and renegotiation of site contracts. Provide financial insight and recommendations to operational management on contractual issues and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Build strong working relationships with key customer stakeholders (Hospital Admin, Hospital CFO and team, DOPs/HSD) to optimize financial results. Gain buy-in and credibility for desired financial outcomes through timely and accountable actions. Deliver a high level of customer service to external clients.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPIs to track business performance, inform future forecasts, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested by Sr. Finance leadership. Perform quality assurance and testing on new application development or enhancements.
  • Be responsive to concerns or requests of other CPS employees, Hospital staff, and clients.
  • Maintain employee and patient confidentiality.
