About The Position

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial and regulatory compliance of Stafl Systems. This role involves managing all accounting activities, ensuring adherence to reporting guidelines and procedures, and developing internal policies and spending controls. Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and implementing organizational financial reporting controls while addressing any discrepancies discovered. The ultimate objective is to ensure that Stafl Systems runs effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of NetSuite ERP experience.
  • Full knowledge of debits/credits and understanding impact on income statement and balance sheet accounts.
  • A hands-on style and ability to prioritize and deliver results in a very fast-paced company with high-volume reporting outputs.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with heavy hands-on use for financial modeling, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • A strong sense of integrity, responsibility & accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of GAAP (very nice to have).
  • 5 years of experience in senior accounting leadership roles preferably in fast-growing start-up or publicly traded companies.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
  • Experience with manufacturing finance or accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day general ledger accounting activities including cash, accruals, debts, and oversight of the bookkeeping activities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting and as part of the monthly/quarterly/annual close.
  • Manage technical accounting matters including preparation of technical accounting memos & supporting analyses.
  • Identify & implement scalable processes to reduce manual processing of data/transactions (automation).
  • Develop, drive, and report on KPIs for upper management and the leadership team.
  • Manage other accounting projects and assignments as directed by the CEO.
  • Lead and foster opportunities for the development and advancement of team members.
  • Communicate and strategize with the Leadership Team.
