Position Overview The Finance Intern position will focus on learning and performing various duties related to the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting reconciliations, vendor management, business/sales tax reporting and registrations while also providing administrative support for office operations. Learning Objectives • Accounts Payable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding and approval, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Accounts Receivable: Assist in the recording of customer invoicing and payments while maintaining confidentiality. • Accounting Reconciliations: Assist with reconciling various accounts, including banking, benefits and other financial related accounts while maintaining confidentiality. • Vendor Management: Assist in the maintenance of vendor accounts, such as collecting insurance and W-9 information and organizing the information. • Office Support: Perform general office duties, including ordering supplies, maintaining office organization, and supporting various administrative needs. • Record-Keeping & Compliance: Learn and maintain accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, benefits, payroll, and administrative documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in payables, payroll, and administrative functions, contributing to streamlined workflows. • Perform other duties necessary to achieve our vision, fulfill our purpose, and live out our values.

Requirements

  • Courses in Accounting, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Eagerness to learn accounting, business and administrative functions, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical skills in computers, Microsoft Office Suite, or other software that is applicable to business environments.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and employee information appropriately.
