About The Position

Canvas is seeking a qualified individual to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force in financial management support of program management efforts associated with specific test needs at the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The candidate will provide a wide range of services including procurement support, contract administration assistance, and records management/administrative support for a variety of planning projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: FM3-Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field OR substitution as described below
  • Minimum Experience: FM3- 3-10 years of experience
  • Substitutions: A Bachelor’s degree can be substituted for with 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance required for job. May begin work with an interim clearance.
  • Highly Organized
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with AF financial systems, CRIS and CCaR.
  • Proficient in Power NI
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft.
  • Must utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and reporting on cost performance and financial management.
  • Implementing cost best practices as a subject matter expert.
  • Coordinating and preparing workload revisions.
  • Coordinating and supporting AF Project Managers with project estimates; monitoring of project cost performance, and funding availability.
  • Coordinating and leading monthly cost performance reviews.
  • Supporting the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function.
  • Monitoring labor, materials, utilities, and other costs to ensure they are collected accurately.
  • Coordinating and communicating funding availability and limitations.
  • Working with DOD FM (Financial Management) and Resource Advisors on fiscal year contract workloads and contract revisions.
  • Providing financial analysis of current actuals and workloads.
  • Monitoring and coordinating updates with AF PM on project cost overruns.
  • Performing a weekly reconciliation comparison of ACWP and current workloads.
  • Supporting Management in reporting of project financial status including detailed interaction with PS queries and reporting.
  • Preparing project reports, cost charts and presentations for project managers as required, including reports and charts of actuals against the current baseline (monthly spreads).
  • Assisting project managers in control and tracking of Obligations and Expenditures.
