Requirements

  • Bachelors degree is preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years progressive experience in an accounting or finance role, with demonstrated experience in both Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Related experience in a health care environment using PeopleSoft software tools is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Position reports to the Manager of Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Payroll Manager, this position is responsible for providing support across various departments under financial services.
  • This position is an essential, cross-functional role designed to maintain operational continuity across our core financial departments: Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounting.
  • This position requires a highly adaptable and resourceful professional who can seamlessly transition between responsibilities, providing expert coverage during staff absences, high-volume periods and special projects.
  • AP functions include ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor communication and executing payment runs while adhering to expense policies.
  • Payroll functions include processing on and off-cycle payrolls, verifying time data, processing wages, deductions, and tax calculations with attention to detail and compliance with labor laws.
  • Accounting functions include, performing month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring activity is accurately reported in the General Ledger.
