About The Position

PCG is looking for talented students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our Corporate Headquarters in Lenexa, KS! This is a full-time paid internship supporting our Financial Operations Department during the summer of 2026. Applicants for the Summer program should be able to commit to a 10-week internship, Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm. This role is responsible for assisting with the following:

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Completed basic/entry level Business Management and Financial Accounting courses
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Ability to work with cross-functional business partners
  • Ability to multitask and engage critical thinking & problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Junior or Senior level completion of program
  • Currently pursuing a concentration in construction or related field
  • Local to the Kansas City metro area preferred

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis
  • Analyze the company’s financial performance through preparation and review of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Communicate financial results to key stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of the main drivers of performance
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts by working with stakeholders within the business and understanding project flows and timelines
  • Financial Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ad Hoc Projects
  • Participate in special finance projects and initiatives as needed, providing valuable contributions to the team
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, Contract in Progress (CIP) meetings, pre-job set-up meetings, progress meetings, and project review meetings
