About The Position

The Financial Operations Specialist provides comprehensive accounting and fiscal support for ongoing business operations and serves as a primary liaison with campus stakeholders in the preparation, processing, and review of financial transactions. This role is responsible for generating and reconciling financial reports; ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; and compiling and analyzing financial data. The position also supports month-end, year-end, and audit-related activities and contributes to special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned. A degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred. Experience in higher education is considered an asset, but not essential. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential function of this role, along with the ability to establish and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships across departments.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in fiscal operations
  • Detail-oriented
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures as well as applicable laws
  • Ability to prepare reports and perform analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
