About The Position

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern will gain exposure to various areas of corporate finance, planning, board reporting and various aspects of the company's business through collaboration with various team members and technology tools. With supervision, responsibilities include accurate and timely preparation of forecasts, analysis, research, and special project support for all levels of management.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university with a declared major in Finance. Required
  • Major GPA of 3.25 or higher Required
  • Knowledge of basic finance principles.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities. Ability to apply critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Responsive to supervision while maintaining initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates initiative, motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible in an environment with complex transactions and willingness to ask questions/request support when needed.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of finance concepts and processes.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the Company’s policies, procedures, manuals, forms, and relevant software.
  • Collect and analyze data to be used as inputs for financial models, forecasts and/or board reporting.
  • Maintain financial models used for real estate, operating companies, and private equity investments.
  • Prepare supplemental analysis to support quarterly valuation and/or reporting processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis in support of management decision making.
  • Communicate proactively on significant matters with supervisor/management.
  • Pursue self-improvement in technical skills.
  • The responsibilities of this position may flex depending on departmental workloads.
