About The Position

FINANCIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR - FT - $29.00/HR Wingspan Life Resources has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Financial Services Coordinator. The Financial Services Coordinator manages client benefit eligibility and personal funds when serving as Representative Payee. This role ensures compliance with Social Security, DHS, GRH, and Medical Assistance requirements and safeguards client financial interests.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Related AA degree preferred
  • Knowledge of, or experience in DHS, Medicare, GRH and third-party insurance billing preferred
  • Experience in working with government agencies to qualify and maintain client eligibility preferred
  • Competent computer and software skills; Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc. required
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Social Security benefits for assigned individuals
  • Complete annual Representative Payee reporting
  • Report earned income as required
  • Maintain accurate individual financial records
  • Pay personal expenses on behalf of individuals when authorized
  • Coordinate MA, GRH, and related renewals when authorized
  • Submit required documentation (AVS, shelter forms, renewals)
  • Maintain client eligibility tracking system
  • Communicate regularly with counties and Social Security
  • Coordinate and manage Medicare insurance enrollment for eligible individuals
  • Maintain complete client financial files regarding renewal and SSA documentation needs
  • Issue invoices to guardians for personal charges when applicable
  • Reconcile personal funds and benefits received and monitor assets
  • Communicate with Billing Coordinator regarding client benefits as needed (MA, GRH)
  • Communicate with Accounting regarding payee disbursements when necessary
  • Stay up to date on state and federal changes to benefits and communicate as needed to necessary parties
  • Provide support to Finance Dept only when assigned
  • Assist with finance projects as directed by Finance Director
