The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst to join our Finance team in our Plymouth, MN office on a hybrid schedule. This role is responsible for supporting the daily operation and stability of our financial systems to ensure accurate data integration, reporting, and compliance. The position assists with chart field maintenance, workflow configuration, system administration tasks, and supports monthly and quarterly financial close activities. The analyst performs reconciliations, monitors data flows between systems, and helps maintain controls that protect data integrity. The role partners with Finance and IT teams to resolve moderately complex issues, recommend process improvements, and support documentation, testing, and small project initiatives that drive system enhancements and effective change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial systems, accounting operations, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written, verbal, and virtual formats.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, follow‑through, and commitment to meeting service expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with ERPs and reporting tools, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with chart field maintenance and workflow configuration across ERP systems and modules; performs reconciliations to ensure alignment of values across source systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Provides backup support for system administration on simple platforms and assists with user access provisioning under established security standards.
  • Supports monthly and quarterly financial close activities, including integration validation, exception resolution, and recurring operational checks.
  • Manages the group mailbox; triages inquiries, resolves moderately complex issues within defined guidelines, and escalates when appropriate.
  • Administers reporting tools and maintains standard reports; assists with hierarchical mapping, coding updates, and structural changes to reflect new business activity.
  • Performs reconciliations between reporting tools and source systems to ensure data accuracy and supports control processes related to reporting integrity.
  • Analyzes workflows and recommends operational enhancements to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with Finance, IT, and QA teams to align system priorities, support solution discussions, and maintain documentation.
  • Participates in testing activities by developing and executing test cases; supports QA automation efforts and recommends improvements.
  • Supports project planning and implementation for assigned initiatives, assisting with scheduling, task tracking, and status reporting.
  • Participates in workshops and translates business requirements into process flows and functional specifications.
  • Makes decisions on routine system configurations and issue resolution within defined guidelines; escalates complex issues as needed.
  • Accountable for supporting system integrity, accuracy of financial data, and execution of process improvements under guidance.
