About The Position
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time. Set- up and operate CNC Mills and Jig Grinders to meet production and quality requirements Verify part quantity with the job traveler Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications Load and unload machines as per cycle time noted on the traveler Determine when cutters need replacement Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs Use inspection methods to determine size changes Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineer drawings & travelers The physical requirements of this position are listed below. Requirements
- Must have 3 years experience in CNC Horizontal and Vertical Mills & Jig Grinders
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineer drawings & travelers
- Must have experience with inspection tools such as micrometer, gauges, calipers, etc.
- Problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the machining process.
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Nice To Haves
- Machining experience with CNC Lathes, Hobbers/Shapers, OD/ID Grinders and Gear Grinders is a plus.
