The Finishing Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various finishing machines – including the MK1060ST, SP102BMA, SP102E Bobst, SP104E Bobst, Polar115 etc. to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors for quality control purposes.
  • Previous experience operating finishing machinery preferred, especially foil stamping.
  • Basic mechanical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to follow job instructions, complete documentation, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, diagrams, and production specs.
  • Good math and measurement skills (e.g., using a ruler or caliper)
  • Ability to stand, lift, and move materials for extended periods (up to 50 lbs)
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor machines including foil stamper, die cutter, folder gluer, and laminator according to job specifications.
  • Make decisions on methods to foil jobs, load and maintain supply of cards, file samples of production material and complete production records (time sheets, job jackets, etc.)
  • Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Assist with machine changeovers and routine preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues or escalate to maintenance when needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area; follow all safety and housekeeping protocols.
  • Perform quality checks during and after production runs to ensure product meets standards.
  • Produces work in accordance with established quality assurance guidelines.
  • Complete required production paperwork and logs accurately and timely.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status, issues and delays.
