About The Position

Reporting to the Finishing Supervisor, the Finishing Tech I assists with production activities based on department leadership instructions. This role ensures customer specifications and quality requirements are met while supporting both internal and external expectations. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• high school diploma or GED
• follow directions and complete assignments in a fast-paced environment
• maintain logs and records in a legible, accurate, and timely manner
• accurately use a ruler for measurements and perform basic math functions
• demonstrate the desire, ability, and initiative to advance through progression
• maintain high standards of professionalism when working with others
• have or are willing to obtain forklift certification

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times while following all plant and division safety rules and policies
• Perform all job functions in accordance with safety procedures and required PPE
• Maintain company health, housekeeping, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
• Minimize waste and improve efficient use of materials
• Recognize printing imperfections
• Operate all models of doctor machines
• Wrap pallets of finished goods
• Understand and properly use roll manipulators, including weight differential setup
• Perform quality splicing according to customer specifications
• Operate a forklift as required
• Maintain an organized, clean work area
• Demonstrate commitment to total quality and continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned or as situations dictate
• Work overtime as required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
