About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installer Supervisor to lead field installation teams responsible for the installation, coordination, and commissioning of commercial fire alarm and life safety systems. This role is ideal for a skilled fire alarm technician with leadership experience who can oversee projects, guide technicians, and ensure systems are installed according to NFPA codes, project specifications, and safety standards. The Fire Alarm Installation Supervisor plays a key role in managing field operations, maintaining project schedules, coordinating with project managers and contractors, and ensuring high-quality installation of low voltage fire alarm systems across commercial, healthcare, education, and government facilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years installing fire alarm systems (i.e., EST4, Honeywell, Potter, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, etc).
  • Hands-on experience programming fire alarm panels and performing system commissioning
  • Experience managing field crews and keeping projects on schedule
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime, if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field technicians installing commercial fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope
  • Install, terminate, and test fire alarm system devices, control panels, and associated wiring
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
  • Ensure installation complies with NFPA 72, local fire codes, and industry standards
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior technicians
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, redlines, and installation reports
  • Enforce jobsite safety practices and company procedures
