About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Lead Technician to lead the installation of fire alarm and fire life safety systems in commercial buildings. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong leadership experience who can manage crews, perform installations, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with NFPA codes and electrical standards. This is a hands-on position requiring expertise in low voltage systems, fire alarm installation, troubleshooting, and commercial construction environments. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation
  • 3+ years installing security equipment in a commercial environment
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians installing fire alarm systems and life safety systems
  • Perform fire alarm installation, including wire pulling, device mounting, and system wiring
  • Act as the primary onsite contact for customers and provide daily project updates
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems to keep projects on schedule
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Foremen on job progress and timelines
  • Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are ready for installation
  • Complete daily reports, project documentation, and CRM updates
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site
