In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise across key project management functions, including project planning, establishment of local project offices, scope definition, risk identification, methodology selection, resource allocation, and team facilitation. You will be accountable for maintaining full control of project scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. This role includes presenting project updates and results to internal leadership and external customers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with client and company expectations. How You Will Do It Manage fire protection projects across commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial environments, serving as a positive representative of the company in all customer and architect/engineer interactions. Oversee and communicate project progression from initiation to closeout, including design coordination, permitting, material procurement, labor scheduling, and field installation activities. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that align with established schedules and budgets; conduct Work in Progress (WIP) meetings to ensure alignment and accountability. Interpret and apply all relevant codes, standards, and unique project specifications. Ensure compliance with AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements and internal departmental/SOX procedures. Maintain professionalism, fairness, and a collaborative approach with customers, field labor, and internal stakeholders. Manage the change order process and proactively drive margin improvement and cost control for each project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection, construction, or project management—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex architectural, mechanical, and electrical building plans.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project).
  • Ability to create tracking spreadsheets, reference data across documents, and use Excel macros.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of industry standards, Underwriters Laboratories requirements, and applicable building codes preferred.
  • NICET certification preferred.
