About The Position

Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking experienced fire sprinkler foremen to lead and train teams in the installation of water-based fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, standpipes, and fire pumps.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of materials, tools, equipment, and installation procedures, including NFPA Standards
• Physical stamina for laborious and strenuous work, including overtime up to 25 hours per week if necessary
• Minimum of 4 years of fire sprinkler installation experience, preferably as a foreman
• Excellent communication, training, and planning skills
• Integrity, organizational ability, and enjoyment of independent and outdoor work
• Valid driver's license meeting all Insurance Carrier requirements

Nice To Haves

• Certified state/federally accredited Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the installation of fire protection systems
• Execute fire sprinkler design plans
• Manage materials delivered to job sites
• Use hand and power tools, including cutting and threading pipe
• Collaborate with general contractors, other trades, and field supervisors to ensure smooth installations
• Maintain accurate daily documentation
• Oversee and mentor helpers and coaches
• Read and understand drawings and blueprints
• Test piping systems for leaks and read gauges
• Climb ladders and scaffolds, working at heights exceeding 40 feet
