The Perfect Supplemental Opportunity for First Responders is Here! Are you a Georgia-certified Firefighter looking to maximize your off-days? Allied Universal is seeking dedicated Firefighter Professionals to join our emergency response team at a premier Automotive Manufacturing Facility in West Point, GA! This is consistent supplemental income with the flexibility to pick up one or two 12-hour shifts per week. Whether you’re looking for extra cash for the holidays or a steady year-round side hustle, we have the hours available! Firefighter-EMT (Part-Time) – Automotive Plant Location: West Point, GA Pay Rate: $22.50 per Hour Work Shifts: 12-Hour Blocks (6 AM – 6 PM or 6 PM – 6 AM) – All workdays available!

Requirements

  • Certifications: Must hold Georgia State Firefighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) and a current EMT License (or higher).
  • Physical Readiness: Must pass a physical and Fit Test for SCBA; able to wear gear weighing ~70 lbs and lift/carry up to 80 lbs.
  • Additional Training: Ability to obtain/maintain annual Hazardous Materials Technician and Confined Space/Rope Rescue certifications.
  • Basic Requirements: At least 21 years old, HS Diploma/GED, and a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year record.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, customer service mindset, and intermediate computer skills.
  • Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Health License as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher
  • Must have current CPR/AED Certification
  • Must pass physical and Fit Test required for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
  • Must obtain and maintain annual Hazardous Materials Technician Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120)
  • Must obtain and maintain annual Confined Space and Rope Rescue Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146)
  • Must possess or be able to obtain any additional state requirements for a firefighter EMT
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Driving Positions : must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Able to: Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 80 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Response: Act as the primary responder for fire incidents, industrial accidents, and hazardous material mitigation.
  • Medical Support: Administer Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency medical care to site employees and guests.
  • Safety & Security: Conduct patrols to detect and report suspicious activity or safety hazards, acting as a visible deterrent to client rule infractions.
  • Technical Ops: Operate fire apparatus pumps, advance hose lines, climb ladders, and perform confined space/rope rescues as needed.
  • Safely respond to emergency incidents, fight fires, mitigate hazardous material incidents, rescue trapped persons in confined spaces, and administer basic life support (BLS) treatment.
  • Able to perform firefighting duties including advancing hose lines, fire apparatus pump operations, safely operate power tools, climb ladders, and wear firefighter protective gear including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) weighing approximately 70 pounds.
