NASCAR San Diego is looking for certified fire rescue professionals that will interact with our guests and professional racing team participants during racing events and perform fire and EMS response functions. This is a part-time seasonal position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform Fire and EMS response functions. Shifts range from 6-16 hours depending on the event. Practice and maintain a professional appearance and work ethic. Includes but not limited to Pit Road, Garages, Fuel Island, or On-Track Firefighting. Responds to and renders assistance in emergency cases. Cleans and inspects equipment and apparatus after returning from a fire. Inspects equipment and apparatus and notifies Supervisor of any defect. Keeps fire truck or designated area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Participates in training activities and instruction sessions. Acquires and retains a thorough knowledge of the racetrack, including station numbers, emergency district locations, buildings, water supply, unusual hazards, and related items. Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with track-specific and NASCAR policies and procedures.
