About The Position

If you are an Engineering graduate looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson
has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, as a
Firmware Test Engineer, you will design and implement software test systems to
verify and validate world-class safety-critical measurement & analytical
instrumentation that integrates with industrial automation equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
• Minimum of zero (0) years of relevant experience
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with related technologies and techniques (Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .NET application development, object-oriented design principles, requirements-based and gray box testing)
• Interest and experience working with test systems

Responsibilities

• Working with a team to design and implement automated tests and test infrastructure
• Participating in reviews of product requirements, test designs, and implementations
• Working with cross-functional teams to help solve engineering challenges
• Providing analysis for change requests considering the impact to product testing and schedule
• Providing technical support for test stations
