About The Position

The First Responder and Risk & Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing emergency medical response, workplace safety, and risk management operations for the property. This role provides direct supervision of security first responders and safety personnel while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, tribal, and organizational regulations.   • Technical proficiency on Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in casino, hospitality, industrial, or high‑risk environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Response & First Responder Oversight Serve as a primary first responder to medical emergencies, accidents, and critical incidents.
  • Provide immediate medical assistance including First Aid, CPR, and emergency medical care in accordance with training and certification.
  • Supervise and coordinate first responder activities during emergency situations.
  • Ensure readiness, availability, and proper use of emergency medical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts with Security, Risk & Safety, and external emergency agencies.
  • Risk & Safety Supervision Supervise Risk & Safety personnel and assigned safety programs.
  • Implement and manage the organization’s Risk Control and Safety Programs.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, tribal, and local regulations, including OSHA/TOSHA and related safety standards.
  • Participate in and lead safety committees and risk management initiatives.
  • Incident Management & Compliance Review, investigate, and document incidents, injuries, and claims in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor incident reports to identify trends, safety risks, and loss exposure.
  • Partner with Risk & Safety personnel to manage guest and employee claims and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all required reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and timely.
  • Leadership & Team Management Recruit, interview, train, coach, and develop first responders and safety staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Prepare work schedules, conduct shift briefings, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
  • Promote accountability, professionalism, and high service standards among team members.
  • Model company values, service expectations, and a strong safety culture.
  • Models a passion for the Company mission, vision and values as well as inspiring team members to do the same.
  • Executes the Service Recovery model at a proficient level as well as ensuring all team members are empowered to efficiently utilize the tools of the service recovery model.
  • Direct the implementation of and administration of regulatory programs to include: HAZCOM, Blood borne Pathogens and Lock Out/Tag Out training programs
  • Manage Chairperson of property Safety Action Team
  • Respond to and handle team member complaints (grievances) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist management during emergencies, critical incidents, or adverse situations.
  • Analyze loss data and recommend strategies to reduce incidents and improve safety performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to emergency response, safety, and compliance.
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
