We’re looking for a Fitness Ambassador — someone who’s more than just staff, but the heartbeat of the club. Think: the mayor of the gym. You’re the first hello, the go-to helper, the motivator, and the friendly face that keeps members coming back. This is the perfect entry-level role to kick-start a career in fitness, leadership, or wellness — no experience required, just great energy and a people-first mindset
Requirements
- Outgoing, friendly, and naturally great with people

- Reliable, punctual, and ready to take ownership
- Passionate about fitness, wellness, or personal growth
- 18+
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
- Passion for fitness and helping others; willingness to learn basic training techniques (certification not required but encouraged).
- Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift) while engaging with members on the fitness floor.
- Capability to lift, move, and adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and manufacturer specific equipment training within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Greet members with enthusiasm and make everyone feel welcome
- Be a visible, approachable presence on the fitness floor
- Assist with check-ins, questions, and member needs
- Promote programs, events, and club offerings
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and motivating environment
- Build relationships — know names, celebrate wins, and encourage progress
- Greet all members with enthusiasm, professionalism, and courtesy.
- Assist with member check-ins, club tours, info calls, account inquiries, and membership updates.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the club’s 'Judgement Free Zone' philosophy.
- Engage with members on the fitness floor to provide encouragement and support.
- Promote club programs, personal training services, and special events.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cardio, strength, and functional training equipment (training provided).
- Assist members with proper equipment use and safe techniques.
- Support member retention by building rapport and encouraging positive workout experiences.
- Provide orientation and guidance to new members on basic workout routines and equipment use.
- Facilitates PE@PF fitness programs and assists members with fitness programs through the Planet Fitness App
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, locker rooms, and high-touch areas.
- Conduct light maintenance checks and promptly report any issues.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and visually appealing club environment.
