TNT is looking to add an experienced full-time Fleet Inventory Specialist to our growing Branch. Summary: The Fleet Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining a sufficient inventory of various parts and supplies needed by the fleet services operation during the course of preventive maintenance and repair on company-owned vehicles, small, heavy and specialized equipment.

Requirements

• The Fleet Inventory Specialist must have a high-school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of general shipping and receiving experience is required.
• This employee must demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills and work habits.
• Must possess a valid State of Texas Driver's License and have a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Understand, research, and order necessary parts/equipment for Fleet team
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with team and outside vendors via meetings, phone calls, emails, etc.
• Request quotes/bids from vendors and analyze to determine best offer
• Create purchase orders based on vendor quotes
• Maintain invoices and other documents
• Possess the knowledge and understanding to work closely with automotive technicians to support their needs
• The ability to work closely with vendors to achieve goals and successfully complete projects
• Keep an accurate level of parts and supplies
• Safety inspections of fleet dept. and service center, (e.g. Daily fuel island inspections, shop equipment inspections etc.)
• Mandatory inventory counts/audits
• Create work orders and work pending orders
• Responsible for waste disposal (e.g. used tires, waste oil, waste coolant etc.) and keep proper documentation of waste disposal events
• Other responsibilities as assigned
