About The Position

This position Coordinates and ensures preventive/scheduled maintenance and servicing of all Agency vehicles. Tracks all accident reports and provides necessary information to the insurance company per requirements. Properly registers and has all agency vehicles inspected as required. Responds to all staff reports of vehicle repair problems. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator role ensures all agency vehicles are maintained in optimal operating condition by overseeing maintenance work and coordinating with garages, addressing any concerns or recommending changes as needed. It supports program operations by efficiently managing vehicle usage, making recommendations for reassignment to maximize utilization and cost-effectiveness. The position oversees the scheduling of regular, consistent vehicle maintenance and ensures timely replacement when costs exceed limits. Additionally, it manages vehicle accident documentation, liaising with insurance agencies as per policy. The role involves attending transportation management meetings, submitting reports to the Director of Transportation and Facilities, and sharing on-call responsibilities with Transportation Coordinators.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree with one year of fleet management experience, or a high school diploma with three years of fleet management experience, is required.
  • Candidates must have basic proficiency in computer operations and possess a valid NYS operator's license with a clean driving record.
