About The Position

The Fleet Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our fleet vehicles. This position requires the ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, thereby supporting our company's commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Requirements

• Proficient in mechanics, electronics, and diagnostic tools specific to vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with management and co-workers.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with fleet vehicles and understanding of their specific maintenance requirements.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, and fluid replacements.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and replace defective parts and components, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations regarding vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Collaborate with management to establish a maintenance schedule and identify areas for improvement in fleet operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
