Position Overview As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our diverse fleet of diesel and gas vehicles. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless functioning of our operations, enabling us to continue delivering high-quality beverages to our valued customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in automotive/diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role, with hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic office software.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as scanners and software applications, to identify issues accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment as required.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to operate various types of vehicles.

  • Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in company vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to engines, transmissions, suspensions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify technical issues efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours, in digital or physical format.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in fleet maintenance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and a willingness to contribute to team success.
