About The Position

ARS is seeking an experienced and highly organized Fleet Operations Manager to support the strategic and operational effectiveness of our national fleet of vehicles and equipment. Reporting to the Fleet Director, this individual-contributor role owns critical fleet operations, data integrity, compliance oversight, and vendor coordination across the enterprise. In addition, the Fleet Operations Manager will work with the National Director of Facilities and Fleet Operations to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies in such areas as fleet deployment, utilization, fuel expenditures, maintenance costs, ordering costs, and replacement cycle times. This position plays a key role in ensuring fleet programs run efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements while serving as a trusted operational partner to field leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, asset management, or a related operational coordination role
  • Working knowledge of fleet management systems, asset tracking platforms, or maintenance programs preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Business acumen and financial literacy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions without direct authority

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the fleet asset lifecycle for all vehicles and equipment, from acquisition through disposition, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all systems.
  • Serve as the primary steward of fleet data, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and usability across reports, dashboards, and downstream systems.
  • Act as a safety liaison interfacing with operational and corporate safety leadership on fleet safety, DOT compliance, cost control, and operational readiness while leveraging Enterprise fleet management system to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Oversee fleet documentation management, including titles, registrations, insurance certificates, inspection records, and lease or finance agreements.
  • Monitor and support compliance with DOT, OSHA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations; proactively identify risks and gaps.
  • Coordinate maintenance and service activity by tracking service intervals and partnering with national maintenance providers and internal field teams to resolve issues, delays, or non-compliance.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for the field on fuel card programs, including new card setup, PIN resets, fraud investigation support, and issue resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and external vendors to support fleet initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and enhance fleet operational efficiency.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by Fleet leadership.
