Flight Research Senior Remote Pilot
About The Position
Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview Job Overview Fly, fly, fly. Primary responsibility will be to fulfill duties of remote pilot in command in support of Iris in a lead role for the project. This means a butt in the seat with good stick skills and ability to operate a large UAS in the NAS as well as develop and uphold procedures in conjunction with the Flight Test Lead. Ideally they have some experience with leading and/or managing people or projects.
Requirements
- Part 61 certificate with the ability to obtain an instrument but ideally they already have it.
- Experience operating medium to large UAS from purpose built GCS
